Best Breakfast in Kadikoy
Breakfast in Kadıköy can be a pan of menemen near the market, melted Black Sea cheese in Moda, or a long table of small dishes in Erenköy. This guide brings together 23 places across Istanbul’s Asian-side district, including bakeries, coffee shops and brunch restaurants.
Start here: Meşhur Menemenci for cheese menemen, Çay Tarlası for muhlama, and Ethem Efendi Erenköy for a leisurely shared breakfast. For croissants and brunch, look at Brekkie, Lil Bake or Nou. Pick the neighbourhood first: Suadiye and Koşuyolu are separate outings from the central market–Moda walk.

Where to have breakfast in Kadıköy
1. Nelipide Gurme — Bağdat Caddesi — Black Sea flavours and bread

Our earlier visit to Nelipide stood out for regional breakfast products, fluffy bread and honey with kaymak, Turkey’s rich clotted cream. The bread and pide tradition gives this breakfast a clear identity beyond the number of small plates.
This entry is the Bağdat Caddesi branch in Göztepe. If breakfast stretches into lunch, pide—a topped Turkish flatbread—can join the table, but size the order around your appetite. Ask the branch about breakfast service before making a late start.
What to order: Breakfast, bread and pide.
Address: Göztepe Mahallesi, Bağdat Caddesi No:199/B, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Phone: +90 216 356 52 52
Find Nelipide Gurme — Bağdat Caddesi on Google Maps
2. Meşhur Menemenci (Cemal Polat) — Osmanağa — The menemen we remember

At Cemal Polat’s small shop on Pavlonya Sokak, what we particularly liked was the texture: the tomatoes were thoroughly broken down rather than left in large pieces. Our choices were menemen with white cheese and with kaÅŸar cheese, eaten by dipping bread straight into the pan.
Menemen is a soft egg-and-tomato dish, usually with peppers. This is a good choice for a breakfast built around one hot dish in the market area. Choose the cheese or other additions from the current menu.
What to order: White-cheese or kaÅŸar menemen.
Address: Osmanağa Mahallesi, Pavlonya Sokak No:16/A, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Phone: +90 216 336 63 08
Find Meşhur Menemenci (Cemal Polat) — Osmanağa on Google Maps
3. Çay Tarlası — Moda — Muhlama rather than a large spread

Sometimes our ideal Kadıköy breakfast is a pan of muhlama, menemen and fresh tea. On our earlier visit to Çay Tarlası, we especially liked the muhlama made with kolot cheese and noted the cheese in the menemen too.
The business explicitly says it does not serve serpme breakfast. Order individual dishes here. Muhlama is a rich melted-cheese preparation associated with the Black Sea region, commonly combining cheese, butter and cornmeal; it is made for scooping up with bread.
What to order: Muhlama, menemen and tea.
Address: Caferağa Mahallesi, Dr. Esat Işık Caddesi No:34/D, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Phone: +90 541 500 34 08
Find Çay Tarlası — Moda on Google Maps
4. Ethem Efendi Kahvaltı — Erenköy — A leisurely garden breakfast

Ethem Efendi’s Erenköy branch suits a longer meal built around a shared table. Our earlier selection featured gözleme, menemen, jams, piÅŸi and tea: a combination for people who enjoy trying several breakfast dishes.
The branch advertises unlimited breakfast, a garden and baby-care facilities. Confirm what unlimited service includes and request a garden table when arranging your visit. The Erenköy address is the one used here; other branches are separate destinations.
What to order: Shared Turkish breakfast.
Address: Erenköy Mahallesi, Ethem Efendi Caddesi No:50, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Phone: +90 541 229 52 82
Find Ethem Efendi Kahvaltı — Erenköy on Google Maps
5. Beyaz Fırın — Erenköy — Breakfast with a bakery counter

Beyaz Fırın’s Erenköy branch has appeared in our breakfast selections over the years. It is an option when bread, pastries and the bakery counter matter as much as eggs or a shared spread.
Use the branch listed as Erenköy on Yener Sokak when planning your route. Compare its breakfast plates and hot dishes before ordering; this is a different style of morning from the small menemen shops around the ferry and market area.
What to order: Bakery breakfast and pastries.
Address: Bağdat Caddesi, Yener Sokak No:9, Kat:1/2, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Find Beyaz Fırın — Erenköy on Google Maps
6. Ceviz Ağacı — Koşuyolu — A Koşuyolu patisserie stop

Ceviz Ağacı extends this guide beyond Moda and the market streets. Our earlier selection included it for both breakfast and desserts, making it a useful option for those who want a patisserie-style morning.
Plan around KoÅŸuyolu rather than treating this as the next door to a Moda café. You can finish breakfast with tea or coffee and something sweet, but check breakfast service separately from the shop’s general opening hours.
What to order: Breakfast followed by a patisserie dessert.
Address: Koşuyolu Mahallesi, Muhittin Üstündağ Caddesi No:85, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Phone: +90 216 212 08 18
Find Ceviz Ağacı — Koşuyolu on Google Maps
7. Asker Abi’nin Yeri — Rasimpaşa — A quick pan of menemen near the waterfront

Asker Abi’nin Yeri is included for a simple menemen meal rather than a sprawling breakfast spread. Our archive also contains a late-night menemen visit here: a hot pan of eggs can be the whole point of the stop.
The Rasimpaşa location is useful if you are around Rıhtım and want a shorter meal. Specify your preferred heat and additions when ordering. Our old night visit is not a promise of current overnight opening.
What to order: Menemen.
Address: Rasimpaşa Mahallesi, İzzettin Sokak No:1, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Find Asker Abi’nin Yeri — Rasimpaşa on Google Maps
8. Paper Cafe — Suadiye — Coffee as part of breakfast

Paper in Suadiye belongs on the route when the coffee matters as much as the breakfast plate. We have also covered it in our BaÄŸdat Caddesi coffee selection, where breakfast is part of its appeal.
Choose a breakfast plate from the current menu and then select your coffee separately. It is a useful alternative to a tea-led shared spread, particularly if you are spending the morning around Suadiye.
What to order: A breakfast plate and speciality coffee.
Address: Suadiye Mahallesi, Pembe Gül Sokak No:1/A, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Phone: +90 216 771 02 54
Find Paper Cafe — Suadiye on Google Maps
9. Çeşme Bazlama Kahvaltı — Şaşkınbakkal — Bazlama and warm dough

ÇeÅŸme Bazlama brings warm bread and dough-based dishes to the ÅžaÅŸkınbakkal part of the route. We previously enjoyed the brand’s jams, piÅŸi and bazlama in NiÅŸantaşı; that experience was at a different branch.
Here the destination is Noter Sokak in Suadiye. Its published branch menu offers unlimited breakfast including tea, and a separate takeaway selection. Check the service format when ordering smaller items: a takeaway option does not automatically mean the same item is available as an individual dine-in breakfast.
What to order: Bazlama and the branch’s breakfast spread.
Address: Suadiye Mahallesi, Noter Sokak No:23, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Find Çeşme Bazlama Kahvaltı — Şaşkınbakkal on Google Maps
10. Brekkie Breakfast Club — Osmanağa — Croissants at the Breakfast Club

Brekkie appeared in our earlier Kadıköy coverage for croissants, house-made jams, pesto and fillings such as avocado and smoked meat. It remains a natural entry for a croissant-centred brunch.
Use the Breakfast Club address on YoÄŸurtçu Parkı Caddesi No:24/1. The brand’s Croissanterie is a separate location; the photograph here is from our earlier Brekkie visit, not evidence of the current branch layout. Check today’s fillings and service hours.
What to order: Croissants and brunch.
Address: Osmanağa Mahallesi, Yoğurtçu Parkı Caddesi No:24/1, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Find Brekkie Breakfast Club — Osmanağa on Google Maps
11. Naga Putrika — Moda — Choose a regional breakfast for two

Naga Putrika is a menu-researched addition for those who want to compare regional breakfast styles. Its named sets include Amanos with zahter and pepper bread, Velika with Bosnian börek and ajvar, and Zuğa with muhlama and a herb-and-cheese pide.
These are breakfasts for two with different contents. Compare the dishes rather than assuming all sets are equivalent. The published menu lists three glasses of tea per person, so do not assume unlimited refills are included.
What to order: A regional breakfast set for two.
Address: Caferağa Mahallesi, Moda Caddesi No:161/A, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Find Naga Putrika — Moda on Google Maps
12. Grön Coffee — Caddebostan — Bakery food and coffee in Caddebostan

Grön is another choice for combining breakfast with speciality coffee. We included the Caddebostan café in our Bağdat Caddesi coffee guide for its restrained atmosphere and approach to coffee.
This entry refers to Åžerafettin Sokak, not Grön Hus in Suadiye. Choose from the branch’s current bakery and breakfast offerings; the neighbourhood is a useful starting point for a Caddebostan morning.
What to order: Bakery items, breakfast plates and coffee.
Address: Caddebostan Mahallesi, Şerafettin Sokak No:2/A, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Find Grön Coffee — Caddebostan on Google Maps
13. BigChefs Moda Teras — Moda — Breakfast with a terrace

BigChefs Moda Teras adds a terrace setting to the selection. The branch works for a sit-down morning in Moda when the setting matters alongside the breakfast menu.
Contact the branch if a terrace table is essential to your plan. Compare the current breakfast choices and what they include; an all-day restaurant’s opening hours do not necessarily describe its breakfast service.
What to order: Breakfast at the Moda Teras branch.
Address: Caferağa Mahallesi, Moda Mektebi Sokak No:1, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Phone: +90 850 215 50 22
Find BigChefs Moda Teras — Moda on Google Maps
14. Kırıntı — Moda — A diner-style stop in Moda

Kırıntı brings an American-diner influence to the guide and has a dedicated breakfast section in its menu. Its Moda location makes it convenient for exploring the neighbourhood afterwards.
This entry is specifically the Ferit Tek Sokak branch. It is an alternative for a group that prefers choosing individual dishes in an all-day restaurant setting. Check the branch’s current breakfast window before a late arrival.
What to order: The current breakfast menu.
Address: Caferağa Mahallesi, Ferit Tek Sokak No:15, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Phone: +90 216 346 07 70
Find Kırıntı — Moda on Google Maps
15. Midpoint — Fenerbahçe — Before a Fenerbahçe walk

Midpoint’s Fenerbahçe branch is an option for building a morning around this part of the coast. The brand includes breakfast and poached-egg options in its food offering.
Ask the Fenerbahçe branch about the current breakfast selection and service time. This is a separate neighbourhood outing from the short market-to-Moda walk, especially if you want to linger by the shore afterwards.
What to order: Breakfast plates at the Fenerbahçe branch.
Address: Fenerbahçe Mahallesi, Fener Kalamış Caddesi No:116, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Find Midpoint — Fenerbahçe on Google Maps
16. House of B — Suadiye — Bagels and international brunch

House of B’s Suadiye breakfast page currently lists avocado, smoked-turkey and egg-and-bacon bagels, alongside a breakfast burrito, taco sandwich and pancakes. It offers a different direction from the traditional cheese-and-olive spread.
The photographed egg-and-avocado taco sandwich is one example from the source guide. Check the ingredients of meat-based options when ordering. Confirm the Suadiye breakfast cutoff directly, as the brand’s published hours have varied between pages.
What to order: Bagels, a breakfast burrito or pancakes.
Address: Suadiye Mahallesi, Bağdat Caddesi No:435/A, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Phone: +90 216 384 27 47
Find House of B — Suadiye on Google Maps
17. Nou Cafe & Kitchen — Caddebostan — A substantial individual breakfast plate

Nou is one of our choices for a generous breakfast plate in Caddebostan. Croissants and combinations of eggs, sausage and avocado give it a clear role for people who prefer choosing their own plate.
We also included Nou in our BaÄŸdat Caddesi coffee coverage, but it deserves more than a quick coffee stop. Allow time for breakfast and conversation, and choose the plate’s current ingredients from the menu.
What to order: Croissants and egg-based breakfast plates.
Address: Caddebostan Mahallesi, Caddebostan Plajyolu Sokak, Plajyolu Apartmanı No:8/B, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Find Nou Cafe & Kitchen — Caddebostan on Google Maps
18. Deniz Nadide Duru Breakfast — Moda — A small family breakfast business

Deniz Nadide Duru Breakfast offers shared breakfast, pişi and Çakallı menemen in Moda. It is an option for either a longer table of small dishes or a meal centred on a hot egg pan.
Arrange a weekend visit in advance. Our Turkish guide noted a weekend reservation requirement and Monday closures, while newer business posts mention exceptions to Monday opening. Check the specific date directly rather than relying on a fixed weekly rule.
What to order: Shared breakfast, pişi and Çakallı menemen.
Address: Caferağa Mahallesi, Gürbüztürk Sokak No:29/B, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Phone: +90 542 235 86 89
Find Deniz Nadide Duru Breakfast — Moda on Google Maps
19. Morn Kadıköy — Osmanağa — Brioche and a sweet brunch finish

Morn sits around Yoğurtçu Parkı and combines breakfast, brunch and pastry options. Brioche French toast is one of the dishes highlighted in our source guide, giving the selection a sweet brunch option.
It suits a morning built around individual plates and coffee. If you want both savoury breakfast and French toast, order with sharing in mind rather than assuming you need two complete meals each.
What to order: Brunch and brioche French toast.
Address: Osmanağa Mahallesi, Yoğurtçu Parkı Caddesi No:62/A, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Phone: +90 216 504 66 64
Find Morn Kadıköy — Osmanağa on Google Maps
20. Lil Bake — Hasırcıbaşı — Croissants on Hasırcıbaşı

Lil Bake is included for croissants and hot breakfast plates. The source selection highlights croissant sandwiches, egg dishes and vegetarian breakfast options.
Choose it when you want a bakery-led brunch rather than a large shared spread. The Hasırcıbaşı address also works for continuing into Moda afterwards; check the day’s sandwich fillings and vegetarian choices before ordering.
What to order: Croissant sandwiches and hot breakfast plates.
Address: Caferağa Mahallesi, Hasırcıbaşı Caddesi No:36/A, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Find Lil Bake — Hasırcıbaşı on Google Maps
21. Snug — Moda — Egg sandwiches in Moda

Snug’s egg sando options make it an easy entry for people who like breakfast between slices of bread. Egg-based plates provide an alternative if you would rather have a sit-down breakfast built around a plate.
The location is on Dr. Esat Işık Caddesi, close to other Moda stops in the guide. Choose the current sandwich or plate that fits your appetite; the name alone does not tell you every filling or sauce.
What to order: Egg sando and egg breakfast plates.
Address: Caferağa Mahallesi, Dr. Esat Işık Caddesi, Meltem Apartmanı No:22/A, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Find Snug — Moda on Google Maps
22. Havva Hanım Trabzon Köy Kahvaltısı — Erenköy — Black Sea breakfast in Sahrayı Cedit

Havva Hanım brings Trabzon-style breakfast to the Erenköy side of the selection. Kuymak, menemen, eggs with white cheese and kavurma cooked with butter are among the options described in our Turkish guide.
Look for the Erenköy business in Sahrayı Cedit when planning your route. Kuymak is a rich Black Sea cheese dish; kavurma is cooked meat, making it a much heartier addition than a simple egg plate.
What to order: Kuymak and hot egg dishes.
Address: Sahrayı Cedit Mahallesi, Şemsettin Günaltay Caddesi No:232, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Phone: +90 536 264 58 97
Find Havva Hanım Trabzon Köy Kahvaltısı — Erenköy on Google Maps
23. Müjgan — Yeldeğirmeni — A breakfast tray in Yeldeğirmeni

Müjgan’s signature breakfast presentation in our source guide is the Müjgan Tepsi, a tray that brings together breakfast components. The Duatepe Sokak location adds YeldeÄŸirmeni to the route.
Ask how many people the tray serves and whether hot dishes and tea are included. It is a useful choice if you want to make the surrounding YeldeÄŸirmeni streets part of the morning after breakfast.
What to order: Müjgan Tepsi breakfast.
Address: Rasimpaşa Mahallesi, Duatepe Sokak No:53, D:1A, Kadıköy, Istanbul
Find Müjgan — Yeldeğirmeni on Google Maps
Plan your morning
For a first visit, choose the central market and Moda: start with Meşhur Menemenci, or make Çay Tarlası, Naga Putrika or one of the brunch cafés your main destination. The ferry waterfront, market streets and Moda work well as one neighbourhood outing. Yeldeğirmeni offers another walk from the Rasimpaşa side.
If your accommodation or plans are along Bağdat Caddesi, focus instead on Göztepe, Erenköy, Caddebostan or Suadiye. Nelipide, Beyaz Fırın, Paper, Grön and Nou give you different breakfast styles along that wider area. Ceviz Ağacı in Koşuyolu and the Fenerbahçe branch of Midpoint are best treated as their own morning plans.
For a shared breakfast, ask what is included in the per-person price, whether there is a minimum number of diners, and how tea and additional hot dishes are charged. Going alone? An egg dish, muhlama or an individual breakfast plate can be a simpler order. Check breakfast service times separately from the restaurant’s general opening hours.
A short Turkish breakfast glossary

Its business profile explicitly says it does not serve serpme breakfast. Plan on individual dishes such as muhlama and menemen.

Editorial note
Adapted from Harbiyiyorum’s Kadıköy breakfast selection, combining earlier visit notes with menu and branch research. Online checks were made on 23 October 2026; this does not mean we revisited every venue. The order preserves the original selection and is not a scored ranking. Photographs come from the source article, including the clearly marked Brekkie archive image. Some business profiles could not be reopened during this check, so service hours are not presented as universally verified.
