Best Pizza in Kadıköy, Istanbul

For pizza in Kadıköy, start with Dieci Moda for a longer Italian meal, Salepepe for Tokyo-style pizza or Il Pellicano for calzone. This guide brings together eleven addresses, from Moda and Yeldeğirmeni to Feneryolu and Caddebostan, with a different reason to choose each one.

Quick choice: Choose Dieci when your table wants pizza, pasta and starters; Salepepe for a small pizza-focused counter; Il Pellicano for a folded calzone. Rucola suits thin-crust fans, GG offers unusual topping combinations, and The Artisan Craft brings long-fermented dough together with house-made charcuterie.

Pick the neighbourhood as well as the pizza. Moda, Osmanağa and Caferağa are convenient for a central Kadıköy visit; Yeldeğirmeni is another cluster, while Feneryolu and Caddebostan sit farther along the Asian side. The order below follows our original list rather than a scored ranking: thin crust, a soft Neapolitan-style base, calzone and cream-based pizza answer different cravings.

Our pizza restaurant list

1. Dieci Moda — Moda

Pizza and a starter served at Dieci Moda

Dieci comes first in our list for a pizza meal that can grow into a longer Italian dinner. Opposite Yoğurtçu Park, it combines pizza with starters, fresh pasta and desserts, making it useful when the table wants more than one kind of dish.

Start with Margherita for a simple order. Funghi combines a cacio e pepe-style sauce with chestnut, oyster and porcini mushrooms; Zucchini brings courgette, ricotta, lemon zest and mint. For a meat option, look at Con Costine Di Manzo, topped with beef rib. The range makes it easy to pair a familiar pizza with something different.

Order: Pizza as part of a longer Italian meal.

Address: Osmanağa Mahallesi, Yoğurtçu Parkı Caddesi No:70–72/A, Kadıköy, Istanbul

2. Salepepe — Yeldeğirmeni

Exterior of Salepepe Tokyo Style Pizza in Yeldeğirmeni

Salepepe is the address for exploring a Tokyo-style approach to pizza in Yeldeğirmeni. Altuğ’s small counter keeps the focus on dough and oven work, which you can follow at close range. Think of it as a pizza-focused stop rather than a large-group dinner.

On our 2023 visit, the sucuk-topped Butcher Pepe was a particular favourite. Sucuk is a seasoned Turkish sausage. Begin with Margherita if you want a simpler introduction, or ask whether Butcher Pepe is available when you visit. The compact setting is part of the decision, as much as the topping.

Order: Tokyo-style pizza at a small counter.

Address: Rasimpaşa Mahallesi, Karakolhane Caddesi No:81/A, Kadıköy, Istanbul

3. Pizzeria Il Pellicano — Osmanağa

Calzone served at Pizzeria Il Pellicano

Chef Salvatore Cannetiello’s Il Pellicano has appeared in our pizza recommendations for years. Calzone, the folded and sealed pizza, is a particular reason to include it here alongside the open pizzas.

For two people, a Margherita and a calzone give you a useful comparison of the same kitchen’s open and closed formats. Go to Kalfaoğlu Sokak in Osmanağa. Older articles and the restaurant’s older website still carry the former Moda address on Keresteci Aziz Sokak.

Order: Margherita and calzone.

4. GG Pizza — Moda

Rocket-topped pizza at GG Pizza Moda

GG’s Moda branch is our option for toppings that move beyond the familiar. Alongside Margherita and four-cheese pizzas, the menu has featured combinations such as pear with honey and prawns with kadayıf, the fine strands of pastry better known from Turkish desserts.

The Summer ’26 menu referenced in our Turkish guide pairs pear with blue cheese, walnuts and honey; the prawn version adds kadayıf and chipotle sauce. Ask about current availability if one of these is the reason for your visit. This entry is the Moda branch on Şair Nefi Sokak; GG’s Yeldeğirmeni branch is separate.

Order: Unusual topping combinations.

5. Pizza Rucola — Caddebostan

Exterior of Pizza Rucola’s Caddebostan branch

Rucola’s Caddebostan branch suits thin-crust pizza fans spending time around Bağdat Caddesi. Its four-cheese combination adds Turkish Ezine cheese to mozzarella, parmesan and gorgonzola, bringing a local cheese flavour into a familiar format.

Margherita, vegetable-topped Veggie and children’s pizzas give a mixed group several straightforward choices. Rocket and parmesan salad can complete a lighter order. The restaurant is in the Caddebostan area, with a Göztepe postal address; it is a separate outing from the central market.

Order: Thin crust and four-cheese pizza with Ezine.

6. Pizza Krema — Central Kadıköy

Pizza Krema offers an alternative when you want to move away from a tomato-based pizza. Cream-based choices are the point of difference at this Nail Bey Sokak address, which is convenient for a meal around central Kadıköy.

Consider the signature Pizza Krema first, or a sucuk version for a more pronounced meat flavour. Choose it for its richer sauce-led approach, and ask about the base and toppings when ordering so that the combination matches what you want.

Order: Cream-based pizzas.

7. Pizza Locale — Caddebostan

Half-folded and half-open Duo pizza at Pizza Locale on Bağdat Caddesi

Pizza Locale’s Duo answers the open-pizza-or-calzone question by putting both formats on one plate. One half is closed, the other open. It was the focus of our earlier visit to the Bağdat Caddesi branch.

On that visit, the closed half held kavurma and cheese, while the open half came with smoked rib. Kavurma is a Turkish cooked-meat preparation. The Duo remains an option to look for on the branch menu, but confirm the current filling. The address and photograph here refer to Köşk Sokak in Caddebostan, rather than Moda.

Order: The half-folded, half-open Duo.

8. Moin Moin Pizza — Osmanağa

Mushroom and tomato-based pizzas at Moin Moin Pizza

Moin Moin is a small neighbourhood pizzeria on Hasırcıbaşı Caddesi, centred on sourdough Neapolitan-style pizza. It is an option for a dough-focused meal around Bahariye, particularly for two or three people rather than a large gathering.

Begin with Margherita, or look at smoked beef if you want a meat topping. Pumpkin pizza is among the seasonal options that have featured on the menu. Ask before travelling for a particular seasonal combination; the appeal is being able to choose between a classic and a less familiar topping.

Order: Sourdough Neapolitan-style pizza.

Address: Osmanağa Mahallesi, Hasırcıbaşı Caddesi No:44/A, Kadıköy, Istanbul

9. La Mora Pizza & Pasta — Feneryolu

Pizza with basil, tomato sauce and cheese at La Mora Pizza and Pasta

La Mora takes the guide to Feneryolu, with pizza and pasta in a small restaurant on Gazi Muhtarpaşa Sokak. Alongside familiar choices, its menu has included meat-and-mushroom combinations and blackberry pizza.

Wellington pairs rib-eye beef with mushrooms for a richer order; blackberry offers a sweet-tart fruit element on a savoury pizza. Sharing two pizzas lets you compare those approaches, with burrata salad as another option for the table. Check table availability if planning an evening meal at this small address.

Order: Wellington or blackberry pizza.

10. Porto Napoli Pizza — Yeldeğirmeni

Two pizzas and salad served at Porto Napoli Pizza

Porto Napoli on Duatepe Sokak brings Turkish-food references into its Neapolitan-style pizza menu. Çökertme Pizza is one example, giving you a different reason to visit alongside the more familiar pizzas.

Another option is Bruschetta & Ricotta, described with San Marzano tomato sauce, rocket, honey-pickled onion, tomato salsa and ricotta. Sharing it with a Çökertme pizza gives the table two distinct combinations. The small restaurant suits a pizza stop while you are exploring Yeldeğirmeni; tiramisu is an option to finish.

Order: Çökertme and Bruschetta & Ricotta pizzas.

Address: Rasimpaşa Mahallesi, Duatepe Sokak No:29, Yeldeğirmeni, Kadıköy, Istanbul

11. The Artisan Craft — Moda

Pizza topped with rocket and cheese at The Artisan Craft in Moda

The Artisan Craft brings pizza and Turkish pide around the same stone oven. The kitchen describes sourdough and fermentation lasting up to five days, with hand-shaped Neapolitan-style pizzas that have a thin centre and raised rim. House-made sauces and much of the charcuterie add another reason to look beyond the dough.

For a simple start, consider the Margarita with buffalo mozzarella, parmesan and basil. Craft Pastırma adds cured beef and a cheese sauce; Enginar Kalbi is the artichoke-heart option. Sharing pizza and pide, perhaps with a charcuterie plate, makes this a place for a longer table in Moda.

Order: Long-fermented dough and house-made charcuterie.

How to choose your pizza

  • Start with the style. A thin, crisp base and a soft, foldable Neapolitan-style pizza give different results. Our Neapolitan pizza explainer offers a useful starting point.
  • Keep one order simple. A Margherita makes it easier to follow the dough, tomato and cheese separately, especially if you are sharing it with a more elaborate pizza.
  • Look for balance. More toppings do not automatically improve a pizza. You should still be able to taste the base beneath the sauce and cheese.
  • Compare pizzas at a similar temperature. One straight from the oven and another left waiting will not give a fair comparison of texture.
  • Choose the right branch. This list specifies GG Moda and Pizza Locale Caddebostan. Their other locations are separate choices.
  • Check seasonal specials. Ask about availability if a particular fruit, vegetable or signature topping is the reason for your trip.
