Botanikafé Jardins São Paulo: Coffee Among the Plants
We stopped at Botanikafé Jardins while waiting for nearby Z Deli to open. An americano, a can of sparkling Mamba Water and a little time among the plants turned it into one of our most memorable café visits in São Paulo. From the pavement, we had not expected the room inside.
A green awning, then a room full of plants
The exterior on Alameda Lorena offers a few clues: a green awning and palms along the pavement. Once inside, though, the amount of greenery changes the feel of the place. Broad leaves stand beside the tables, baskets hang overhead and trailing plants run around the bar.

It felt as if someone had brought a little of São Paulo’s vegetation indoors. That is an impression of the setting, rather than a claim that the plants are native to this particular part of Brazil. What we enjoyed was sitting among them, with leaves in view from almost every angle.
The bar sits at the centre
The central bar was a favourite part of the room. Bottles and hanging glasses sit beneath shelves threaded with plants. Brick, wood and exposed metal give the space texture, while the high ceiling and daylight keep the interior feeling open.

There was a lively, mostly young crowd during our visit. People were drinking coffee, talking and eating at the surrounding tables. We liked having the room to look at while we waited; the café became a stop we would remember in its own right.

The plants do more than fill an isolated decorative corner. They sit directly beside the chairs, above the tables and around the working bar. That closeness was the part of the atmosphere we enjoyed most.
Our second coffee of the day
We had already had coffee earlier that day. Here we considered an americano or filter coffee and were served an americano in a glass cup. We drank it at our table and took in the setting before moving on to lunch.

This was a coffee stop rather than a food tasting. We saw breakfast plates, including Eggs Benedict, at other tables, but did not order them. We would not judge the kitchen from plates we only saw passing.
Mamba Water and its snake logo
The other drink we tried was Mamba Water. The tall silver can, with its snake illustration, caught our attention. The label identifies it as a 350 ml can of natural mineral water with added carbonation: sparkling water, rather than a flavoured soft drink.

Would we go back?
Yes, for another coffee in this room. São Paulo gave us several memorable meals, but a pleasant place to pause between them mattered too. Botanikafé Jardins was one of those pauses that became part of the trip’s story.
The brand describes its approach as brunch all day. If you plan to eat, check the Jardins menu for current dishes. Our own meal that day was at Z Deli afterwards; the two stops worked well together on Alameda Lorena.
